Author of ‘Sow, Grow, Munch’ and creator of edible garden spaces.
Jilly is passionate about teaching children where their food comes from and how it has been produced, so they can make educated choices about the type of food they eat in life.
Jilly is our Innovation ambassador and she will be sharing her tips on how we can all grow our own herbs, fruit and veg and use them to add full-on flavour to our dishes.
Jilly says, “I still get really excited by the freshness and flavour that comes from something that’s just been picked, that is something we can’t buy and I would like to share this love with everyone.”
Jilly wants to encourage all of us to grow a tiny bit of something we can eat. Whether that’s herbs in pots, pea shoots, salad leaves, an apple tree in the garden or simply pots and tubs on window sills, we can all have our own little edible garden.
A firm believer in buying local produce whenever possible, Jilly can’t wait to share her recipes, green finger tips and love for good wholesome home cooked food with you.
My most important kitchen utensil is my salad spinner, which everyone will surely need when they start to grow their own salad leaves!
